Rosacea

Rosacea is a very common skin condition that affects many people to the stage that it drives certain behaviours, like ladies trying to conceal redness or broken vessels with a lot of makeup.  The cause is unknown and there is no cure so appropriate management is imperative.

We can reduce the redness and help you manage this condition with a combination of treatments involving correct medical strength skin care, Omnilux Medical™ protocol and or intense pulsed light (IPL) treatments.  The best treatment plan will be determined by amount of facial flushing and the size of facial vessels.

The Omnilux is used for facial flushing and acne rosacea if present, with a specific course for 5 weeks.  The IPL is used if broken vessels are present as the machine targets the excess blood vessels causing their gradual destruction over successive treatments. Most people need 4-6 IPL treatments at fortnightly to monthly intervals, though some people respond very well within 3-4 treatments.
