Seborrheic Keratosis: also known as old age warts, barnacles, wisdom spots or senile wartsSeb Ks are benign skin lesions that are small to large is size and usually develop in middle age and later years. They actually originate from the bottom layer of the top layer of skin (epidermis) and give the appearance of a waxy warty scaly often flat or raised lesion. They vary in colour from being pale yellow/white to dark dirty brown.
People usually want these removed as they find them unsightly plus the can catch on clothes or simply just get itchy. They can be removed with the lamprobe and treatments will vary from 1 to several. Time frame depends but generally a month apart is a good guide. |
